If anyone has a fix for the second issue, I may hold onto this device, otherwise, it's back in to box and out the door. Pro Tools 8.0.4 has some issue recognising the ShuttlePro v2, at least for me.The ShuttlePro only reproduces keystrokes, so the scrubbing feature that I and others have hoped for just will not work. Two key problems worth putting in one spot here: Now, I am not in the habit of reinstalling drivers every day just to get it to work. Reinstalled the drivers, and it worked again. MYOB did, Outlook did, Firefox did, Windows Explorer did, but not Pro Tools. Not my favourite thing in the world, but all OK after that.ĭay 3, once again, Pro Tools wouldn't recognise the ShuttlePro. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and it was OK. Then on the beginning of day 2, I started up Pro Tools (8.0.4) and I couldn't get the ShuttlePro to work. So at the end of day 1, I was a little disappointed, but feeling pretty happy still about my purchase. What is also great, as a business owner, is that I can use it in other programs like MYOB, where one button creates an invoice, another creates a journal entry, etc. What I really found handy though are all the buttons - I assigned heaps of essentials that require a couple of keys at once (Ctrl-S and so on) to buttons, and even made some macros (arm track and record - sweet!) Maybe in recent years that functionality disappeared somehow. In another thread, user magicm says he got it to work but I have no idea how. I ended up using the inner wheel to zoom in and out, and the outer wheel to fast forward/rewind. I got a ShuttlePro v2 the other day and immediately was disappointed by the inability to scrub with the wheel.
